Summary:
Former Democratic congressman Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) called Elon Musk a “thief” and a “Nazi” during a fiery CNN segment Thursday night.
After Joe Borelli, the ex-Republican leader on the New York City Council, argued that much of the discontent at Republican congressmen’s town hall events were protests organized by Democrats, Bowman interrupted to insist that “that’s not true.”
“That’s not true. And this shows, again, the American people do not trust Elon Musk,” began Bowman. “And Elon Musk is incompetent in his position. And how do we know? Because they fired tens of thousands of people, it was challenged in court. The court said the people have to go back, and now the people are coming back. He’s incompetent, he’s a thief, he’s a Nazi, and people don’t trust him, period.”
Musk is threatening to sue and conservatives are celebrating it. Now slander / defamation is wrong lmao but when Trump inspired conspiracy theories about Obama’s birth certificate it was ok? Not to mention all the other bullshit Trump throws around. Pathetic.
I can’t wait for him to lose in court because he is in fact an incompetent thief who did a Nazi salute multiple times. Maybe that representative can counter sue for the $500 billion dollars he lost the U.S. thus far. Being that he is not an elected official, I don’t see how he could be immune to repercussions in his role.
-
Does two Nazi salutes
-
Supports the AfD, which has people doing not so subtle Nazi salutes in its poster campaign
-
Boosts pro-Nazi content on his platform
-
Endorses anti-semetic conspiracy theories such as “The great replacement” conspiracy theory
-
Doesn’t apologize, instead makes edgy Nazi puns
-
Gets called a Nazi

Goes there? Like, goes to reality while the rest of the news is living a fantasy and denying the fascist takeover? It’s about time someone did!
Used the Nazi label openly. Partly that it risks a lawsuit from Musk. But also that certain Dems have been trying to rehabilitate Nazis, since they support some, and party leadership now has a ‘not all Nazis’ kind of attitude.
Partly that it risks a lawsuit from Musk
he would have no case. his status and government position puts the bar a lot higher than if he were a random private citizen.
He also gave two Nazi salutes on national television.
When you have that kind of money, your case doesn’t have to be winnable. The point is to tie up resources and time. And the lawsuit itself is the punishment- not the outcome.
Knowing Musk, I’d be shocked if he doesn’t do this to make an example of anyone who calls him a Nazi.
We should probably come up with a system where money doesn’t mean more access to the legal system.
Maybe you’re just not allowed to hire a lawyer directly, but you have to go through some magical entity that’s not corrupt and they assign you people.
Or fuck it, just fix everything else so no one is super rich compared to everyone else.
Yeah, I think we need to seize all accumulated wealth above $100 million, set a max income of $10 million per year (with no borrowing to get over the cap), and set a max inheritance of $10 million per beneficiary.
I mean tbh I hope he does, let’s get discovery on his Twitter account and the comms between him and open nazis he’s been signalboosting for years. You know, the evidence that he’s a nazi? It’d be great if some judge called dom lucre to the stand to testify that elon personally intervened in his account ban, after he posted CSAM with his own name watermarked on it.
You know, defamation has to be provably false statements made intentionally with knowledge of the statement being a falsehood and being used to cause harm to an individual from said statement. None of those criteria are met by stating a well known and not hidden fact that elon musk is a nazi and has been, publicly, for at least two years. Nazi rhetoric, nazi salute, and nazi friends.
Sue all you want bro. Courts can’t change the truth.
Again, the outcome of the suit isn’t the goal. The rich sue all of the time without a good case. They have the money to bankrupt you by dragging out the lawsuit indefinitely.
I expect a public case about whether Elon Musk is a Nazi will draw Mangione levels of public contributions for the defendant.
Bravo sir. Let’s start calling a spade a spade. Now let’s start calling for serious remedy solutions.
Whoa there, Nazis made good cars.
And did efficiency better.
He’s also the unelected president.

One of my favorite things about Democrats is how progressive they pretend to be when they have little power to do anything, and then the one area where they had leverage they simply complied with Republican demands.
I agree with your sentiment but Bowman was a member of the squad and seriously progressive.
He lost his reelection because AIPAC (a lobbying group for the genocidal Israeli apartheid regime) spent more than 14.5 million dollars in his district during the campaign to unseat him, a record for the group.
Interesting info. Thank you.
He wasn’t a senator, so this is 14.5 million dollars they spent in one congressional district in one state for one seat of congress…. They did a similar for another member of the squad, I believe Katie Porter maybe? I’m forgetting her name…
It’s a box you check. For the most part people check it so they have access to vote in the primaries and have more of a say in who their representative might be. Just because someone checked that box doesn’t mean they all believe in the same things. A good example is Donald Trump was a Democrat because he said their policies were better for the economy. That doesn’t mean he was a better person when he had that box checked, he was still sexually assaulting women left and right and taking flights with Epstein. That said, a Democrat from Kentucky, is probably a lot further right leaning than a Democrat from California. Democrats don’t have a set of beliefs they all believe in. It just means they are left of wanting a dictatorship at this point.
Former Democratic congressman
Yeah.
