Hmmm, collage not loading, lets try a slightly smaller one
Beautiful shots. Especially all of them. Each has a unique quality of effort of flight.
Love them, as always! Are they in reverse chronological order? If so, it looks like the bird is loading themselves like a spring before taking off.
Birzarrely, the order was top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right (though the bottom right was the partner of the bird in the other three. It was very tempting to put them it what looked like the proper order, but I resisted.
Wow, very impressive!
Is the bird still a little out of focus or is it just me?
Impressive nevertheless.
Somewhere between focus and motion blur (and for that matter focus not keeping up with the motion component that was towards me) there’s still issues, that’s for sure. Not helped by the birds being at quite a distance away - there was a pair, and the bottom right photo is, I think, of a different bird planning to take off next. That photo is the one where the focus surely could have been sharper, but I’d guess grass and ground clutter threw things.
ISO1000 won’t have helped, but the camera usually works well at even ISO4000.
Looks great, I’m just stressed getting out my binoculars in time before the bird flies away!
