Is there any effort to crowd fund Voice of America? It would cost US citizens less than $1 a year each. What is the price on freedom of speech? Is it less than that?

You’ll never rid the world of propaganda. That’s absurd. The question is whether you want the majority of the World’s population to listen to your own propaganda or the propaganda of your enemies. Which would you prefer?

I definitely would not want the majority of the world to read the kind of propaganda that says genocide is ok, would you?

Power vacuums are a thing…somebody will always be the loudest person in the room, and if the room is empty, somebody will find it.

There’s also the point that any media that’s anything other than “the complete objective verifiable truth” is, in some level, propaganda. As soon as you introduce any spin or opinionated commentary, or intentionally omit any facts, it ceases to become unbiased and starts to become propaganda.

Literally everything is, at some level, propaganda. There are very few truly unbiased and un-opinionated news sources. As far as I’m aware, such a thing is unpossible. There will always be an angle missed or relevant context left out. The trick comes in supporting the media that comes closest.
