  • By embracing Russia and castigating Ukraine, President Donald Trump has rattled U.S. allies around the world, causing them to question if Washington is still a trusted partner.

  • Governments in Europe and democracies around the world are treating Trump’s actions and statements not as provocative posturing, but as an earthquake.

  • With American reliability in doubt, some European nations and other countries may seek alternative partners and markets, possibly in China, Bindenagel said.

This is the opposition’s strategy. Trump is bad because he’s siding with China.

trump’s opposition is confusing at times; he’s somehow both a russian shill and now he’s a chinese asset, despite the upcoming trade war.

You libs are so ridiculous. Can you imagine - the ENTIRE CIA, NSA, FBI, and DoD fully aware that the sitting president is a compromised Russian asset only doing things for the betterment of Russia and just shrugging their shoulders like “eh, what can we do?”

How detached from reality do you have to be to think that the country with the most money, the most colony, the most military bases, that spends two times more on its domestic police than Russia spends on its entire national military including nukes, that has the vast majority of billionaires, that has the most powerful financial institutions, that has the world reserve currency, that has the strongest influence over OPEC, that controls NATO, that indiscriminately destroys countries all over the world, that regular kills and coups leaders all over the world…

How the fuck does the the most powerful man in the world need Russia for anything? How do it’s institutions just not neutralize or assassinate him? How does our elaborate system of checks and balances just do absolutely nothing in the face of a uneducated senile old man?

You are delusional if you think Trump is just doing Putin’s bidding. Delusional.

The US wants to flirt with Russia so they can fracture their relations with China, and ultimately weaken China.

Russia is ideologically aligned with the West, but the West consistently disrespected and antagonized Russia, which led to the coalition of the BRICS countries which are not united by ideology but by the collective grievances against the West. The trump faction is trying to appease Russia to move them to the US side and thus fracturing this coalition.

This is all about China, this is no secret they constantly mention it publicly.

The US is winning over Russia and North Korea. Who needs Canada and Europe.

China’s self interest in maintaining access to raw materials and markets could make them an interesting regional security partner in Asia if Taiwan was peacefully resolved. Being a single party state with a president for life is definately a negative but we are only 4 years out from finding if the US is going to be the same deal.

Xi has just been handed Taiwan on a platter. As long as he doesn’t endanger the semiconductor factories the US rely on, Trump isn’t going to lift a finger to help them… unless they sign over control of said semiconductor factories, in a “joint” partnership.
