      I’d agree with you but the mods of this community have shown considerably more professionalism and don’t have a history of abusing power. Which is more than I can say about mods in lemmy.world’s biggest communities.

      I also trust them to moderate against bigotry and hate speech effectively. Which is important because 196 is supposed to be a queer friendly safe space.

        Power corrupts. I wouldn’t want to be the reason a responsible mod starts making bad decisions.
