These thought leaders always play Schrödinger’s bigot: we’re just asking questions until the mask slips.
DOGE’s recruitment pitch reeks of tech-bro messiah complex. “Streamline bureaucracy” doublespeak for dismantling safeguards while installing true believers. Technical expertise without ethical guardrails is just arsonists redesigning fire departments.
But hey—at least they’re honest about wanting “backbone.” Translation: compliance officers need not apply. The revolution won’t be fact-checked.

Thank merciful goodness the public education system I was put through in my time actually offered me at least shreds of crucial resources, and encouraged my literacy. My parents read to me every night, and transported me into the shoes of other people with different issues. I learned to see what the world was like for people who look and speak differently than me on my own.
dear god help us all if that, at the bare minimum, isn’t normal anymore.
