I wish my wife hadn’t taught our kid the word “hangry”, now they just associate hunger with anger reflexively and so the only way to keep the peace is to chase him around proffering morsels like an overeager pet owner.

I’ve just recently started on meds and now not eating is a significantly more common problem, worst of all the shakes are gone too so I keep going all day on nothing.

When I was a teen, I used to supplement with ensure meal replacement “milkshakes”. Maybe something like that could help?

I set times of the day I have to eat by. If my lunch time limit has come and I haven’t eaten yet, I gotta stop and eat. Makes me be aware of what time it is too, so double good. Last night, I had no intention of eating because the kitchen was busy and my stomach was hurting, but I had promised myself I would eat no matter what, so I got take-out.

Also, because I’m pretty out of it for a bit after eating, it makes me divide my day into smaller sections so I can plan better.

Eat more starchy foods, seeds, nuts in the morning (like oatmeal) and avoid refined sugars and fat. While it’s easy to treat hypoglycemia with sugar, the point is to prevent it.

I hope you are joking: I don’t think anyone is trying to make you feel attacked. More like, “Oh good, this isn’t just a me thing.” Which is kind of weird because I find solace in other people also struggling? Anyway, hope you have a nice day.

It is a joke but there’s a hint of truth in there.

I’m definitely not struggling in life if that helps

        Help!

        I’m dead!

        Help gdhdjdkevwjsp

        I feel attacked

Lmao - laugh my ass out

These are all common internet comment section phrases. Please do not take them literally. "How are you typing if you are dead"🙋 🤓

                                                                       -🤓

Bro, I am perfectly aware of all that. I have noticed this specific user making this comment more than once with no lmao (which is usually short for “laughing my ass off” not “out”) or other indication of levity.

I was trying to be a nice human and check in on a fellow human. Humor is a wonderful thing and can be a great tool for dealing with life, but it can also be a cover for fear and sadness that needs to be addressed.

Yes, I’m being serious in a meme community. You can choose to ignore me if this set you off. But in that case, maybe you need to consider how you are using humor to ignore the things you need to work on.

If you were simply trying to help someone you honestly thought was new to the internet, I appreciate your attempt. But your style of interaction makes me feel like you are trying to belittle an attempt to honestly show care for another human, and that is not cool.

Please, let’s not make that the norm it was at the other place. There are enough other places where you can go on the internet and be this kind of immature.

We adhd’ers need to stick together! Life’s hard without adhd, it’s just nice to know other people have the same issues.
