The Tribes series is a collection of first-person shooters video games for PC, beginning with Starsiege: Tribes in 1998, developed by Dynamix. Its sequel, Tribes 2, was released in 2001 by Dynamix / GarageGames. A console version called Tribes Aerial Assault, was launched in 2002 for the PlayStation 2. In 2004, Tribes: Vengeance was released by Irrational Games, followed by Tribes: Ascend in 2012, developed by Hi-Rez Studios.
