That doesn’t work. It ends up with a populace smuggling goods, black markets and foreign influence.

Furthermore, underlings who do have money will start rebellions demanding secession.

Unless the designer is a foreign influencer from a more powerful country, which can only be China. But national leaders who put puppet presidents into offices have a tendency to want their puppets to be very loyal and friendly towards them.

I had to read my own post ten times to figure out if I was replying to the right person.

        Sorry about that.
I meant to say that “If it’s by design, then that design won’t work”.

I get triggered by the words “it’s by design”.
Seen it said too many times by fascists
        and their supposed ‘powerful cabal’
always have a ridiculously bad plan,
but they’re presented as a dangerous plan that will work.

You seem to be describing polish soviet europes smuggling in of goods during shortages and the black market around.

Of course strikes work, we’d be working 7 days a week if they didnt, your grandstanding about ‘foreign influence’ makes you sound like you’re posting from a US airbase lol…

Dont strike you dirty proles, the chinamen might steal your elections!

          Give me a break kid.

Historically, two labor strategies have been the most effective in rapid change: a- striking to deny output of goods and services, b- violence.

      You definitely don’t want b. A is a compromise.
