    But decades from now when you move on in life, the watch you wear over the next four years will be a talisman of your service to this country and treasured by your grandchildren. Unless it’s an Apple Watch, in that case, it will be in a landfill.

    Personally, I wear a cheap Berny Titanium Automatic I bought direct from the factory in China. It was like 70 bucks, the fit and finish is as good as any Seiko I’ve owned, and the dial and luminosity is 10x better than any watch I’ve owned save exactly one Seiko that had special die or something. Plus, unlike any other watch brand I’ve seen, I could order the dial face plain with no brand logo. Shit is clean. Also uses a japanese Miyota movement, it keeps time very well.

        Love the Expedition, such a timeless design, that indiglo is gorgeous. I used to have an expedition scout and the ticking sound it makes is why I became interested in an automatic watch!
