i’m asking this because i am 5’7 and all my life i thought i was 5’10 but i realized i’m not and honestly i feel kind of bad about it!! i would definitely feel way too short in the u.s, and will people look at me weird?? like, will they think i’m a teenager or something?? that sure would be weird but, well i have to be ok with my height. i’m just curious about that!! thanks!!
I assure you there are short people in the US lmao
Average American height is 5’9", we aren’t all 6’ like the Netherlands.
You will be normal. You will stand out for the way you talk and how you dress. Your accent will be found adorable and how you dress will out you as not from 'round here; if anyone notices because we are too involved with our own bullshit to give you much thought.
ok thank you very much, i suppose a lot of people are in that same height!! and well, i wear t shirts and pants daily so maybe not that, that is a pretty american outfit i think so
You have no idea what American fashion is. It is regional and comes from experience in that area. If you are wearing flannel and jeanw, you fit in the Pacific Northwest, but look alien in Georgia, or a Midwestern winter.
Im british. ive been in america for about 7 weeks now. Im 5’7. I havent once felt or noticed that.
Are you just overthinking things?

I’m 5’11". Nobody will notice or give a shit.
Yeah we got some trees walking around occasionally but we also have lots of short motherfuckers zoomin around as well.
Youll be fine.
Nah, it’s not that important.
Most people in the U.S. have a life and couldn’t give less of a damn about your height. Only immature women without a personality and useless people care, and idk about you, but I tend to not care what they think, let alone what they’d think about my height. Most people here only want people to be civil and have a little common sense about them, past that, you do your thing, I’ll do mine. :)
