Both Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said they had agreed to bolster border enforcement efforts in response to Trump’s demand to crack down on immigration and drug smuggling. That would pause 25% tariffs due to take effect on Tuesday for 30 days, both leaders said.

Looks like the tariffs might already be dead.

Man this feels just like Trump 1 all over again, every ten days or so we get this news cycle where they promise a big thing and then they walk it back at the last minute. They’re totally doing this on purpose to sow discord and they rarely follow through permanently with anything outside of ideological shit like their antiwoke crusade. As always, the safer bet is that nothing ever happens.
