I mean not that they accomplish anything on their own, but I’d expect protests at least. Not just vague anti-Trump protests, but ones with concrete goals like “stop withholding our FEMA money”. If that doesn’t work then put pressure on state officials to stand up to Trump’s abuse of your state, or maybe go on strike, there are a lot of things you can do to make the federal government stop treating you like a punching bag. What I’m finding strange is that nobody is doing anything at all, or at least anything that’s making the news.

I work for a non profit and don’t own a car, so personally my options are limited when it comes to the idea of going on strike or going to a specific location to protest. I do call my representatives but unfortunately they’re mostly just talk and no action. I share your frustration though, my question of what to do was genuine because as one person, it’s hard to feel like I can do anything when so few people care or take interest in what’s going on. For what a buffoon trump is, he certainly has perfected the art of spreading fatigue and apathy among the liberal half of americans.

I guess in the end that’s what’s confusing me. Setting aside the more abstract stuff about Trump and his ilk destroying the country, does the average Californian not feel any indignation at the idea of being exploited by the Federal government for tax money and then left out to the wolves or outright sabotaged? This feels like a violation of the core idea of the Union. But then again as you said, I guess the GOP won’t face much in the way of resistance if everyone is either on their side or simple tired.
