Just tried the 7 day free trial of Photoshop and deleted it like 10 minutes later because it was so awful. Here are some highlights:

  1. AI, so much AI.
  2. Advertising, so much advertising.
  3. Why yes we steal your data.
  4. $40 a month for the cheapest option.
  5. "If you cancel your subscription you will no longer be able to use Photoshop. No, there is no way to own the product outright.
  6. Why yes we will include a bunch of programs and cloud services that you don’t want and will never use. No, there is no plan that is just Photoshop.
  7. Sign in to your Adobe account to uninstall.

“For your BUSINESS! FOR YOUR BUSINESS!”

That’s honestly something I noticed too. So many services simply assume you’re a business owner. There is nothing left that’s by working class, for working class.

It’s disgusting that Adobe knows it’s a Monopoly and then decides “nah, we’re a luxury product now! No poors allowed!”

Marx has to have a vocabularly term for this, porky really does sell people back their own services.

          • The only reason social media makes money is because of the content artists share, youtube videos made, things like that. Yeah, you can monetize it but there’s still a lot of enshittification that happens regardless

          • A more blatant example should be the housing crisis, especially in cities. The reason San Francisco rent is so high is because of the people of San Francisco, who have made such a place so valuable by their labor, amenities, culture, and also not being as racist as Texas. They’re literally getting punished for their “services” being so valuable.
