I make well under market for my position, but I also am full remote and get to spend almost every hour that my kids are not in school with them which is pretty huge. Maybe when they are a little older I’ll chase the bag, but this job is way too convenient.
This has the same vibe as “money doesn’t bring happiness”. That’s only true once your minimum needs are met and your able to save a little to feel safe in case of emergency. You need money to have work life balance.
Came to say this. If you get paid adequately then work life balance is more important than more pay.
I mean pay is also important, but assuming a comfortable paycheck, the time off to use it is more important than dying the richest man in the graveyard.
Probably not in America…
