I got a new computer, but forgot how byzantine the process for installing a version of BPC for Firefox that autoupdates was.

Everyone online (including the dev) incorrectly states that the .xpi version automatically updates - it does not, it just notifies you when a new version is released, and you must manually install the new one yourself. The Master Zip version available for download DOES auto-update, as my laptop can attest

~6 months ago, I went through this same process, and recall finding the answer for how to “repack the zip-file so it doesn’t contain a folder (default on sites like GitHub)” buried deep in some reddit thread. I can’t find that comment anymore, and I deleted any BPC folders/zips from my downloads, so I can’t just transfer it over.

I’ve already gone into about:config and set xpinstall.signatures.required to false, but I swear there was a 2nd setting that is what causes Firefox nightly to reject the zip as “corrupt”

Can anyone help me with the vague instructions on how to repack the BPC firefox master zip so it can be installed?
