Liberals on Lemmy are ridiculously fast to let fly all sorts of conspiracy theories if it means discrediting any trans people to the left of them. Worse still, is that this behaviour is reinforced by Lemmy mods, look at this ban Cowbee copped for the crime of being allegedly uncivil to this transphobe:

Oh I’m aware, they got really mad when I suggested that defederation is censorship. Here’s a “fun” thread to read where they spell it out. Even accuses HB of being more bigoted than sh.itjust.works and had an edgy monologue like they were Sephiroth.
For clarity, censorship can be a good thing. Removing bigotry and misinformation is good. Suggesting that you aren’t doing so is manipulative and dishonest, though, and clearly sh.itjust.works has bigoted admins.

Going off what cowbee already said, I’m not sure the post would even go over well there. Yes it’s world doing something terrible but it also involves an ml account and the last week has been nothing but look how bad ml is for removing me after I was being awful
Nah, I’d rather not do that as the weirdos on MWoG are already relatively obsessed with me and I’d rather not give them ammo for me being “drama obsessed” or something. I could have done it earlier when they perma-banned me from Political Memes for calling out the moderators on removing comments explaining how the Democrats are complicit in Palestinian genocide, but didn’t for similar reasons.
I’m 100% fine if someone else wants to make a post, though, I’d just rather not do it myself.

Eventually these contradictions put them out of touch with their more “normal” userbase, we win when they damage themselves. Doesn’t hurt to help the process along, though, which is why I’m not against anyone making a post about it if they feel so obligated.
