My most recent and penultimate upgrade from a Ryzen 5600G cooled by a Scythe Big Shuriken 3 to a #Ryzen #5700X3D cooled by this lovely #Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120.
There's about 2-3mm clearance with the mesh side panel. I was able to fit a 15mm slim fan on the back as an intake, so overall, pretty happy with this upgrade. I'm also really happy that I could get two 25mm x 120mm fans on the top as exhaust. I could not, however, fit a fan over the RAM, as it's too tall to allow even an offset fan to fit with the panel on.
For any future builders:
Case - NR200
Motherboard - Gigabyte B550I Aorus Pro AX
Cooler - Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 (not SE or EVO)
Cooler height - 154mm
Top fans - Both 25mm with grills
Notes: Rotate the cooler block so the fins are offset closer to the GPU if you use the above board. The Gigabyte B550I has a higher socket placement than some others. You can likely fit a 120mm fan over the RAM, if it's low profile RAM, but mine is obviously too tall (lessons learned for next time).
I said I’d post photos when I got everything working, so here’s my penultimate build!
It’s penultimate, because I need to get an active cooler for the NVME drive nestled above the GPU, but otherwise, this build is basically in its final form.
As soon as I got the money for my next upgrade!
