microblogging is something used on a much more personal level while i think forum style social media is mostly for looking for answers and posting things you do, but microblogging social media sites are for that too. also, this is not meant to be offensive, but i think that since mastodon has been in the works for like a long time, it looks more polished than modern websites, so that can be an advantage it has

    Nostr is fine but I find the frontends to be janky. Plus there is some community bleed due to the bridges that have been created between Nostr and the Fediverse.

    Forum software is best for asking questions and I’d ask more here but nobody would even read those questions if I did lol

      Yea, they kinda are. But there’s a lot of them though. Freeser, whostr, and primal are easy on the eyes. I use amethyst though.

      PSSHH! I would answer them! Lol there’s not much personal content on here bc of privacy concerns, so I don’t see AITA or Vent type of posts. Which are the ones I like.

      Lemmy is mostly politics, Linux, techy, and web links.
