this sucks, i have pain in my shoulders and neck which has never really happened before - could be my shit posture, but i think it’s probably spurred on by my covid infection a couple weeks ago

can’t turn my head without alot of pain.

boomer parents being boomers and shit saying “it’s all in your head”

the acetaminophen doesn’t help

From what I’ve learned from COVID conscious Twitter and the disability rights stuff that’s adjacent to it, it’s gaslighting all the way. From what I’ve read, muscle and joint pain is one symptom of long COVID. I hope you feel better real soon.

If it’s related to bad posture, things can pill up until symptoms do start. Simple life changes do improve things, just slowly.

Otherwise, my only advice is to rest lots to let your body recover.

  • If it gets really bad and you truly can’t turn your head, get it checked out if you can. It could be postcovid stuff but also secondary infection of some sort. I’ve had such as a kid and it needed antibiotics.

Don’t want to worry you and pain after covid is very common but opportunistic stuff can also take hold after it. Take care and keep an eye on it. Care-Comrade

My wife also gets a lot of pain since having covid, as well as swelling in her hands and feet when she’s in a lot of pain. She’s found that Aleve (Naproxen) does a lot more for her than ibuprofen or acetominophen does.

Edibles also help a lot, although she’s still unsure if it actually hurts less or just makes her not notice, not that there’s much difference.

Also we’re at 1.5 years post-infection so might be a bit different from two weeks

    Shit, that suuuucks.

If its any help, I’ve found that Ibuprofen works better for my muscle/joint pains than acetaminophen.

If you’ve got real bad neck and shoulder pain, there’s an NSAID arthritis cream that helps a lot, just don’t overuse it. You do need to work on your posture, but I think you’ve got inflammation from Covid rileing up your immune system. More rest, warm baths if you can.

You are not alone in this struggle. Since I had a weird case of “the flu” at the middle of this year I developed a strong daily back pain. It’s hard not to correlate both things.
