      It’s an emby fork (after emby maintainers decided to move to closed source) If you don’t know emby either, it’s something like plex (self hosted media server)

      Local media management software, server and client side. Similar to Plex, but not at the same time.

    I’ll likely use the forum when Google searching questions. The jellyfin thread here in the fediverse is pretty good actually.

    So for people who have the same obvious question as I did, Jellyfin appears to be software for self-hosting your own streaming service, so you can stream video or music or etc from your own computer to your other devices. Or so I gather from their main page.
