Trump has been charged by the Department of Justice with the following four counts:
-
A conspiracy to defraud the United States “by using dishonesty, fraud and deceit to obstruct the nation’s process of collecting, counting, and certifying the results of the presidential election,” according to the special counsel’s office.
-
A conspiracy to impede the Jan. 6 congressional proceeding at which the collected results of the presidential election are counted and certified.
-
A conspiracy against the right to vote and to have that vote counted.
-
Obstruction of, and attempt to obstruct and impede, the certification of the electoral vote.
In criminally charging former president Donald Trump for his efforts to reverse his 2020 election loss, federal prosecutors allege that Trump enlisted six co-conspirators to “assist him in his criminal efforts to overturn the legitimate results of the 2020 presidential election and retain power.”

Bummer that it looks like we lost a bunch of top notch comments in one of the original threads…but to answer one question I tried to reply to right as the other threads were replaced with the megathread.
Judging by #1’s links to phone calls to senators/reps on 6JAN I’d say that’s Rudy. Since he’s a bumbling idiot and called the wrong numbers we have the voicemail he intended to leave for Tuberville.
Reports say Eastman’s lawyers confirmed he is #2, but I couldn’t find a link so we’ll have to wait for confirmation on that one.
Edit: Looking at page 30 I would assume #4 is Jeffrey Clark, as WH council was trying to dissuade him from taking the role of acting AG.
Edit again: My guess for #5 is Kenny Chesebro, with a name like that I shouldn’t have forgotten about him but he was critical in the fake elector plot.
Last edit(?): Boris Epshteyn might be behind door #6, putting this in comments and I’ll leave it if I’m wrong!
#6 is Bannon I bet
Or Stone
Oh God, I really hope Stone goes to jail.

Bannon was pardoned as well.
NBC reported that #3 is Powell which makes sense.
I’m not sold on Bannon but I may have missed reports that he assisted with the electoral college certificate fraud plan. I still haven’t made it to that part of the indictment…because I skipped forward to the sections about obstructing the certification.
He was literally in the pow-wow room with everyone and he had first hand knowledge about what was going to go down.
Co-conspirator 6’s involvement here is strictly related to the forged elector certificates. Pages 24&25 outline some of what this person did, like providing language used on the fake certificates, and a list of lawyers to help in each state they were planning to file fake certs from.
It doesn’t seem like much but quasi-legal language for the bogus certificates seems out of Bannon’s league. This is why I’m leaning toward Boris Epshteyn, who is a lawyer…but was acting as an advisor to the campaign instead.
Probably the owner of four seasons total landscaping XD.
Edit: I stole this from Josef. You wouldn’t know him.
I have been wracking my brain and searching because I swear there was reporting about who actually drafted the fake elector certificates, but given the description of their actions I’m not thinking Bannon or Stone.
I’ve settled on #6 being Boris Epshteyn, even though he is a lawyer, he was acting as an advisor to the trump campaign during the post-election dipshittery. He was also on some of the reported email chains, though the emails mentioned in the indictment haven’t been released.
I agree 1 and 2.
3 is likely Sydney Powell.
4 yeah is almost definitely Clark
5 and 6 I’m not sure. No standouts from the Congressional hearings. Bannon / Roger Stone / Mike fucking Lindell (lol).
I expected to see one that jumped out as Mark Meadows, but no such luck.
Meadows has most likely turned witness. If he has, he wouldn’t be a defendant for these charges.
Yeah that’s the only way that man could shut his mouth for as long as he has.
You are almost certainly right.
I’m guessing that Meadows cooperated.
NYT has a decent article on this

Somehow still no help on #6
Finally, co-conspirator 6 is described as a “political consultant” who helped to devise and implement the fake elector scheme. It could apply to several people who worked closely with Mr. Trump after the election.
edit: Nor with Washington Post
“Co-conspirator 6” is described in the indictment as a “political consultant” who helped implement a plan to submit fraudulent slates of presidential electors. The Washington Post has not yet identified that person.
Whoever it ends up being, they’re not a big household name. I’m now split on Boris Epshteyn and Mike Roman, but I can’t find anything that perfectly links them to emails/phone calls from the dates mentioned in today’s indictment. They were both big parts of the fake electors conspiracy.
Just hilarious/sad that we have to try narrowing it down to people who are stupid enough or big enough crackpots to be involved.
Right? And there’s so many to choose from!
