Hi, so I have one of those rechargeable wand vibrators and love it as a whole, but I feel like I’m just desensitised to it now. I’m looking for a new one but have no idea what to get. The clot sucker ones sound good but I don’t want to waste money for not much oomf in return. Thanks

Just wanna say: make sure you buy from a reputable company that’s based in a western country if you’re buying an insertable toy. Cheap Chinese insertables tend to be made from body-unsafe materials and can also be made of material that’s too porous to sanitize between uses. When in doubt you can put a condom on your insertables (that’s what I do).

Western companies have a higher standard of consumer protections. Even better if you can buy toys made in the EU.

The advice for most hobbies is to buy the best tool(s) you can reasonably afford for your use case.

And I’d say same for sex toys, too. Buy some cheapos of various types to try them out if the price is right (and the materials aren’t sketchy).

You may want to try to figure out what sort of sensation you enjoy the most, and then search for toys that provide that sensation or can augment the sensations you already have. If what’s lacking with your handheld wand is, well, a penis, maybe you could try a ‘thruster’ toy, instead of going for a full on sex machine. If your setup is lacking in power, an original (corded) hitachi wand that’s plugged into a motor speed controller would do the trick. If it’s control, then maybe a good quality bullet vibe, like the we-vibe touch.
Of course, if it’s the vibration sensation itself that isn’t cutting it, then look at suckers, point vibrators, and whatever else that looks interesting.

Strong recommendation for She-Vibe as a vendor right now. They tend to have pretty good stuff and not terribly overpriced.

Obligatory “Not a woman, but” comment incoming. If you’re very happy with your current vibrator it may be less that you’re desensitized and more that you’re bored with masturbation in general. If that’s the case you’ll probably find yourself in a similar position pretty soon after getting your new toy so keep that in mind as you’re looking.

Do you have any interests or kinks that you could introduce into your routine that may provide for a bit more mental or intellectual stimulation perhaps?

I’ll leave the actual toy recommendations to the experts, however my partner really enjoyed getting a Rabbit style vibrator that provides clitoral and g-spot stimulation at the same. It did take a bit to find the right shape that worked for her though because some were quite uncomfortable with the insertion.

thanks for the response , i was worried someone was going to suggest this and id have to face the reality that toys arent enough anymore haha. i was considering getting one of those machines but they are out of my price range.

I cheat alot when my partner is away so half the time i have other options, but sometimes i just want some me time.

thanks for your suggestion though, i fear you may be right.

I didn’t mean to cause you any distress 😅 The reality is though that doing the same thing the same way gets boring eventually. Sometimes just taking a break for a while can be enough to help reignite your enjoyment of something in the long run though.

I don’t have one but I’ve also looked into machines before(I’m bi) and chatted with people who have them. You can find some decent ones in the $(USD)50-100 range, but you’re usually sacrificing the stability of the machine as it thrusts in that price range which can cause issues at higher speeds so it’s a tradeoff.

I hope you find something that works for you.

Not a woman myself, but I’ve seen multiple female partners get off very intensively while using clit suckers. I’d recommend one of the cheap Satisfyer brand ones. Beware, they don’t last very long before needing spare parts or replacement. If you use them daily, they might last a year or so.

Obligatory also a man, but I personally love toys. Don’t snooze on the womanizer. I got the cheap$40 one for my wife. The second I touched it to her, her response was, “oh shit.” I’ve even used it on the underside of my head and when the section works, it’s pretty great. They even make styles that suck on the g spot as well, and can be used clitorally, which sounds pretty amazing on paper.

Just my 2 cents. I also agree with the other poster that you might find kinks to try out. If nothing else, think about what really turns you on and try to pursue that. If you have a partner, include them by sharing what you’d like to try!
