I don’t want the car reporting to insurance hard breaks and such. But frankly I just find these things creepy and I just want a base model car.

Yes, and eating candy creates fat, and we still do it.

I see corporations dumping billions of liters of oil in the water, or toxic waste into the atmosphere.

I see trucks used to transport billions of tons of useless plastic toys that don’t even get sold, and I see shops everywhere having items and food that is just thrown away.

Our personal cars is not changing what happens to this world. So you can enjoy it.

Not true. Here in Sweden, private cars are our second biggest polluter, generating 19% of our co2 emissions. More than twice as much as semi trucks. The only thing more polluting in Sweden is heavy industry and mining.

Our low air pollution is due to our low population density, high public transit usage (up to 60% in the major cities), and extremely strict car pollution standards. We still have some neighborhoods where air pollution is at an unsafe level and as a result we just recently banned combustion vehicles in those neighborhoods. Electric cars only in downtown Stockholm.

Our high air quality is because we’ve been so strict on cars, not in spite of it. And still, cars are a serious contributor to climate change even here.
