“To deliver a simpler viewing experience for customers, we have decided to phase out Freevee branding,” an Amazon spokesperson says
Wow, a few items here:
- Had anyone heard of it?
- IMDb is apparently owned by Amazon?
- IMDB had a streaming service?
The only one I knew is 2
Biggest way I knew of them was the Alex rider tv show. It was released on Freevee
Edit: been a fan of Alex rider since I read the books when I was younger.
I knew about this, but as a Prime Original. I guess it was put out on Freevee later?
According to wikipedia
The eight-episode first season, based on the book Point Blanc, premiered on Amazon Prime Video in the United Kingdom on 4 June 2020. In November 2020, the series was renewed for a second season, adapting the book Eagle Strike. The second season premiered on 3 December 2021 on IMDb TV. In June 2022, the series was renewed for a third season, adapting the book Scorpia. The third and final season premiered on 5 April 2024 on Amazon Freevee.
It used to be imdbtv.
I guess you don’t need an ad supported TV app when prime video also has adverts now 😞

I learned about it when I subscribed to Amazon Prime Video and learned I can watch all the classic Mario Bros cartoon from the late 80s. Honestly, the whole Prime Video is chaos. Even though I got Prime for free, I would not pay for it.

Yeah. It’s so bad now!
-
This one surprised me.

They had a 24/7 TMNT cartoon channel. Hope it lives on!
It was a PITA to find because as always the Amazon Prime Video interface is 1000% trash however I can confirm that the Nickelodeon 24x7 TMNT cartoon channel is there. It’s currently playing “Venice on the Half Shell”.
It was easy to find on my firestick but to actually go to the website on a pc is almost impossible to find.
Does this mean I’ll finally be able to delete the app they forcibly installed on my Fire tablet without my permission?
So that’s why Leverage: Redemption is moving to prime for season 3!
