Thousands of Israelis gathered in Tel Aviv to protest against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, demanding an end to the war in Gaza and calling for a deal with Hamas to secure the release of remaining captives. A protester who had been held captive in Gaza reflected on the killing of Hamas leader Yaya Sinwar, saying: “The elimination of Sinwar did not give me peace, did not give me air." Another protester said that the Israeli military’s “goals of war have been achieved” and that the “next stage should be a political stage because a war that has no political component has no value”.
