      Unfortunately, when the people you’re firing on have been starved for any kind of economic base over the last two decades and subjected to repeated bombings and invasions prior to this, it is apparently something you absolutely can do. As to whether it will work out long term? Israel has access to the US brrrrrrrrrrrr

      Over the long term, Israel’s overall domestic situation may end up looking more like El Salvador’s or Panama’s or Qatar’s. But who cares? The country will plunge further into a caste-system of Jewishness, while the nation’s finances will be tied increasingly to western financial interests. That feels like a feature rather than a bug.

          We’ll know in eight years. But I wouldn’t put money on Israel just vanishing in a puff of hate. Haiti still exists, ffs. Iraq and Syria still exist, despite being bombed to shit repeatedly. Countries with far less have endured for far longer.

          And there are simply too many Israelis with too much to lose for it to vanish inside a decade.
