Ron DeSantisĀ attackedĀ Kamala Harris during an interview Monday night, calling her ā€œdelusionalā€ amid reports that the Florida governor refused to take the VPā€™s calls to discuss hurricane relief.

Asked earlier in the day about aĀ reportĀ that, as a DeSantis aide described, ā€œKamala was trying to reach out, and [the DeSantis team] didnā€™t answer,ā€ the vice president told reporters, ā€œPeople are in desperate need of support right now, and playing political games at this moment, in these crisis situationsā€”these are the height of emergency situationsā€”itā€™s utterly irresponsible, and it is selfish, and it is about political gamesmanship instead of doing the job that you took an oath to do, which is to put the people first.ā€

ā€¦

During an appearance onĀ The ViewĀ on Tuesday, Harris said it was a ā€œshameā€ she hadnā€™t been able to speak to DeSantis, and that she will continue to call him when she is president.

I donā€™t think explodicle was criticizing Harris, I think they were criticizing desantis for not picking up the phone and talking to the person he should be talking to

Iā€™d sure love to figure out how they meant it, then. ā€œIsnā€™t it your job toā€¦ā€ is used nearly exclusively in the english language to deflect blame and/or call someone out for trying to avoid doing their job.

I read explodicleā€™s comment as a reply to DeSantis who said ā€œShe has no role in thisā€ in his rant.

I see it both ways. Heā€™s basically speaking at DeSantis saying that she is just doing her job while he is trying to make it political

I read it the same way you did at first too
