I really miss the pre-enshittified Wunderground. And Dark Sky was decent, too.

In the Houston area, Space City Weather is great.

For tropical storms in the US, TheEyeWall.com is good.

Man WU was the king back in the day. It’s too bad The Weather Channel destroyed it after destroying themselves.

As an alternative to his recommendation of Apple Weather for generic weather info, I’d highly recommend weawow, or QuickWeather (available in f-droid).

Easily the best two weather apps I’ve tried on android.

As good as weather.gov is for weather forecasting, their website is absolutely stuck in the dinosaur age of the 1990s.

We need some politicians to give the go-ahead for some funding for a modern phone/tablet app that has all that functionality.

I wish there was a weatheromega analogue for the Uk. Otherwise, between apple weather and windy, I’m pretty well catered for

Rainy Days is a fabulous app. Just radar, and loads fast. I way prefer Predict Wind over Windy but that’s just me.

I’ve always liked myradar on android. Been using it for a few years now and love the detailed weather maps where i can easily tell when its gonna rain and when it will stop. For simple Forcast I just use Googles built in weather.

With that said I tried out windy from the articles suggestions and really liked it’s simplicity and it also has nice weather maps in real time. I’ll have to try it out the next time I expect rain to see how it looks.

I’ve never found anything better than Windy, I have never used the app cuz the website seems fine to me, but overall I definitely recommend it
