It’s using… Live action actors? I thought this was going to be a full on animated movie.
Looks about as lazy as I expected when I first heard it. I can’t get over how bad the world looks though, it’s like someone downloaded a 4K hyper realistic texture pack that doesn’t look anything like the game itself.
Isn’t it harder to make live action work?
From the creators who brought you the same horrible movies such as borderlands comes even more Hollywood garbage that has no context of the source material.

Oh boy, it’s going to be that movie.
Baws people who are like, so cool and stuff, showing up to Minecraft land and showing the locals how it’s really done! IRL style! Yeah we have the IP and we’re making money off of it but we’re also going to constantly remind you that we’re too cool for this shit and make fun of everything that you, a fan of Minecraft, actually care about so that we can get cheap laughs from the livestock audiences who also inexplicably think they’re better than you! Doesn’t that sound fun?!
The Marvel Cinematic Universe and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race.
surely, surely it must be possible to write a movie about a video game that does not include the words “mysterious portal to another world” anywhere in the synopsis. we’ve been doing this shit since the fucking hoskins mario movie, please, something’s gotta give
But it worked so well then! Along with the other precursors to that film, such as Masters of the Universe and Howard the Duck! All certified classics!
The trailer made me laugh. I’ll watch it once.
