SDSU asked the Mountain West for a “one-month extension given unforeseen delays involving other collegiate athletic conferences beyond our control.”
Most likely seems like it would be the PAC and they’re waiting for the media deal that never arrives, but I guess they could also be waiting for CU to decide on the B12 and whether that means they backfill PAC or come along.
In any event, if I’m the MWC I’m laughing heartily and charging them well into the 7 figures for their little “have our cake and eat it too” stunt, or even telling them to kick rocks and hang out for another year.
I agree I’m not sure there is anything in it for the MWC to grant them the extension.
So now the question becomes: Where are they going???
PAC 12? Big 12? Other?
