I am convinced that Israel has realized that it can’t survive a drawn out conflict, and will endlessly provoke literally all of it’s neighbors until things have escalated to the point that the US feels the need to properly enter the fray.

Fascists are always like this, because fascism is at its core an ideology without any material grounding. It’s all fantasy.
They imagine themselves as the supermen that can never be stopped and can never lose, that every loss they’ve ever had was only a temporary setback and that they are always marching towards Greater Israel. Their whole project isn’t based in reality.
The Germans were exactly the same. It’s really fascinating watching history repeat itself despite a near century of “progress”
