I wanted to share this article I wrote about the late Lynn Ann Conway, a trans woman in tech who worked for IBM in the 60s, Xerox in the 70s, and DARPA in the 80s. She was fired in 68 for being trans but she persisted in her transition and went on to invent some of the technologies we rely on daily, such as the dense transistors that power CPUs and GPUs, and the networking protocols that form the basis of the Internet.
