Is it that unheard of for a cis hetero man to recognize this dumb country’s rampant misogyny and the utter arbitrary-ness of gender identifiers (e.g. dresses aren’t for men!) ?
no. but it’s not about saying kurt cobain specifically was specifically a transgender woman. it’s about recognition of the self through the other, pointing to common threads of experience within the community. it’s also a matter of reclaiming history. we have always been here. is it really so hard to believe a famous rock star may have been trans? if so, why?
