Rhytidostea is a genus of flowering plants in the family Proteaceae. It is native to Australia, specifically Western Australia, where it is found in the southwest region. The genus was first formally described by the botanist Carl Meissner in 1855. The name Rhytidostea is derived from the Greek words “rhytidos” meaning “wrinkle” and “stea” meaning “covering”, referring to the wrinkled surface of the fruit.
