No charges were filed against a Northern California second grade teacher who police said was teaching with a blood alcohol content level two times the legal limit.

I have had at least two teachers who were drunk most of the time when teaching. Once in high school, once in college. I’m not impressed by a drunk 2nd grade teacher and I think they should probably be fired, but not criminally charged.

I did too in high school, our geology teacher was always drunk, he only spent half the time in the classroom.

In his defense he was teaching geology

Another Round… is a 2020 black comedy-drama film directed by Thomas Vinterberg… It follows four high school teachers who embark on an experiment to maintain a constant level of intoxication throughout the workday.

Their idea was that the human body is perfect in every way, except that the blood alcohol content is just a little low.

Consuming alcohol in undesignated public places is illegal.

      Public intoxication is illegal.

They either drove drunk, or consumed alcohol on school property; both are illegal. This is just California refusing to prosecute, yet again.

Most likely. But in a rare case of them living nearby they could have had alcohol at home and just walked to school.
