Early Superman was such a jerk that I thought this was real for a moment. The “Make it stop” is perfect.

To be fair, what they showed on those covers is rarely what actually happened in the comics. Not really.
Not just that, but they were often told what to put on the cover first and then make up a comic that somehow related to it.
