He becomes of the good guys and everyone is glad to be his friend. The other Mengele is his protege/sucessor
This leaves out the part where they are actually useful to the Leaf. Orochimaru even goes on to reconstruct the Hashirama plant thing and Kabuto fosters Not-Uchihas.
