As someone who didn’t use Windows for over 10 years and only recently got a new gaming laptop that came with Windows 11 on it, it really isn’t that bad. Honestly the best version of Windows I’ve ever used.
That doesn’t really change the core problem with Windows currently, which is that once it starts an update it can become inoperable for several hours, and that without an LTSC copy of windows or other expensive enterprise build you do not get to disable or delay the updates.
I honestly haven’t had any problems with any updates. They download in the background and give me a choice when to install them, and they never took unreasonably long to install or rendered my system unusable either. You can even turn them off for up to 5 weeks at a time.
I understand that this didn’t use to be like that based on the amount of memes and complaints, but they must be based on previous versions of Windows which I never used (basically XP was the last version I’ve used before 11).
Of course this is just my personal experience, YMMV.
