Venezuelans seeking asylum in the US who are already living in the country will be allowed to work legally under new rules announced by the Biden administration.

About 472,000 people will be eligible for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for a period of 18 months.

It follows calls by Democrats to expand work access for newly-arrived migrants.

US cities have been grappling with large numbers fleeing economic and political turmoil in Venezuela.

People must have been living in the US on or before 31 July to be eligible for temporary deportation relief and access to work permits under TPS. If granted, they will be allowed to work while they wait for an asylum determination to be made.

What happened to the native americans is a good reason to keep illegals out.

It’s still stolen land you’re on. That hasn’t changed. If you’re going to use Native Americans as a cudgel to justify your racism and xenophobia, don’t do it on top of that stolen land, hypocrite.

Well, okay. How about a compromise? The Lakota give the Black Hills back to the Cheyenne, and undo Crazy Horse first.

              Sound like a plan?

Turns out the “Noble Savage” is a myth. Stop being so bigoted.

Now you’re just deflecting with a whataboutism because you refuse to acknowledge your own hypocrisy.

No, but you perpetuate their crimes by continuing to exist on the lands they committed those crimes on and while you are advocating for even more crimes against humanity to happen to others, simply for perceived boarders that you do not belong in, in the first place…
