        Yeah, Burning Man used to be a like, art and tech DIY punk thing. These days, it’s a music fest for tech bros and insta influencers.

          I once got into an argument on this platform with people defending the average salary at burning man being six figures. They tried to tell me that it didn’t qualify as wealthy because I wasn’t considering that they probably worked in an area with a high cost of living and that probably didn’t leave them with much more disposable income than the people making five figures. I guess annually dumping over 5k on a drug trip vacation where you pretend to be a hippy for a weekend is something even the poor can afford.
