Most popular Lemmy instances are notorious for being extremely political and censoring opposing opinions, thus preventing a healthy and civil discussion and also contributing to creation of echo-chambers.
Here, on Lemmy Fellowship, we value civil discussion above all else.
This does not imply that this is a free speech place or lack of moderation though, we have some rules here, and everyone is welcome as long you follow the rules.

Rules

No spam. Your post must be relevant to the community you are posting it in, and your comment must be relevant to the post you are commenting under. Do not post the same message multiple times.
Try to be polite. We are here for a healthy discussion, not baseless insults and ad hominem attacks.
No posting/linking to porn (there are dedicated and better Lemmy instances for such content) and gore/shock/disturbing content, unless (all of the following conditions must all be true at the same time)

you put a very clear warning about such content on your post/comment
you mark it as NSFW
it is relevant to the community/discussion where you are posting it

Do not break rules of the communities you participate in. Remember than not everything allowed on Lemmy Fellowship is allowed on other instances.

Registration

To prevent spam, registration requires “registration application” - do not worry though, you only need to state there that you have read the rules and agree to follow them, nothing more :)
