You forgot the part where they raised prices on everything.
You forgot the part where they raised prices on everything.
The financial fuckery is that they’re very heavily subsidized by the CCP. It’s not sustainable.
Once again, not talking about Mastodon
You’re missing the point. Ask yourself why those people are still there.
However, checking wikipedia it actually seems like they juiced the metrics by using unfair comparisons
You’ll find that Elon’s companies do this a lot…
Look at Tesla’s website:
Off topic but what app is this?
For the most part, no. Check out areweanticheatyet
Last I checked Deadlock has banned Steam Deck (and anything that looks like Steam Deck).
I mean J2C is one of the smaller of the big tech YT, if that makes sense.
LTT has gone on the record several times that they won’t cover Linux at all again until Steam OS gets a wide release (which probably won’t happen until Nvidia gets their shit together).
GN has discussed it several times but they remain straddling the fence.
MKBHD doesn’t really cover much gaming stuff and 0 PC stuff (only Apple 🤢).
Austin Evans next, maybe?
They have been this way from day 1. They called it “end to end control”.
No one should have to have an IT degree just to have the software they want installed on their devices.
They don’t want due process.
Yes and you’re advocating for what they want, which makes you just as bad as them. Everyone has a right to due process, not just nice people.
I don’t think history has ever shown that the government will prosecute agents of the law for doing what the government told them to do.
There’s also a whole lot of evidence that hangings don’t work.
We were talking about Xitter, not Mastodon…
Like what the fuck is possibly on there that justifies using that piece of shit platform?
People. Lots of people. Including Doctor Cory Doctorow and Molly White.
I dunno what that is but as I explained, it’s already fixed, but thank you.
I honestly don’t know how to be more clear. It’s called a social graph. The most important thing about a social network, above everything else, is having lots of users. Cory and Molly both know and understand that if they left Xitter, they would lose access to a substantial amount of their audience, so they both stay, despite being some of the platform’s harshest critics and the biggest supporters of it’s alternatives. That’s the answer to the question “why would anyone use it?”. The social graph.
