About 2 years I think 🤔 Not sure. But it is not being used constantly… The screen is pretty fine imo. It is not a disgustingly bright green and it is usable without the remote for everything.
I own a Loxje A30 and am very happy with it :)
BentiGorlich@gehirneimer.detoBudgetAudiophile@lemmy.world•Budget Score! Vintage Mordaunt Short MS3001·24 days agoThey look just gorgeous. No idea how they sound but they look like they’re worth hell of a lot more than 25$ 😁 Have fun with’em :)
@Blaze@lemmy.dbzer0.com @fediverse@lemmy.world @mkmusic@torishiro.com @melroy@kbin.melroy.org Yes we support basically everything mentioned here. Peertube videos, Lemmy posts and Mastodon / Misskey, etc. (called mircoblogs in the UI) On the microblog side mbin still has a long way to go to be perfect, right know you just know that it is not the primary focus.
Mbin is written in php together with the smyfony framework. We always welcome new devs and I’ll do my best to answer any questions that will arise :)
BentiGorlich@gehirneimer.deOPto Linux@lemmy.world•Handbrake alternative with VA-API support1·2 months agoAre you sure? I would expect AMD to have their own download & install instructions that could be used on any distro
Oh you don’t have to do anything like that for everything else, because it is just in the kernel and in mesa… This “pro” driver comes with some custom stuff like apparently their proprietary encoders, but I read multiple times that it has just terrible performance for everything else so don’t bother…
By rips, do you mean your source media is already in a container, like a .mkv or .mp4 file?
yes mkv files
you might take a look at MVKToolNix
I will :)
BentiGorlich@gehirneimer.deOPto Linux@lemmy.world•Handbrake alternative with VA-API support1·2 months agoHandBrake supports AMD VCN hardware video encoding
yes, but that is not viable as the amdgpu-pro drivers are only available on LTS releases and on a few selected distros
You haven’t said what source material you’re encoding
Mostly BluRay rips, so movies and TV-Shows
Are you aware of Vulkan Video?
I actually was not. Is it any good? But Handbrake does not support that either, does it?
you might consider investing some time in learning ffmpeg commands.
I am, but for anything involving multiple audio and subtitle streams and stream selection in general it is not an option for me…
BentiGorlich@gehirneimer.deOPto Linux@lemmy.world•Handbrake alternative with VA-API support21·2 months agoNever heard of it, but it looks very intimidating 😅
BentiGorlich@gehirneimer.deOPto Linux@lemmy.world•Handbrake alternative with VA-API support2·2 months agoWith handling all the subtitles and audio streams I really prefer a GUI especially since it is not a one size fits all with the files I am dealing with
BentiGorlich@gehirneimer.deto Android@lemdro.id•Fairphone releases open letter to the Community - Apologizes for 3 month support time and says the FP4 will skip Android 14 for Android 159·2 months agoI had a similar, but not as bad situation with my power button (it was just stuck sometimes, causing restarts and what not). I regularly waited 2-4 weeks for a reply… So yeah customer service is really bad at the moment… Still love the product, though
BentiGorlich@gehirneimer.deto Android@lemdro.id•Fairphone releases open letter to the Community - Apologizes for 3 month support time and says the FP4 will skip Android 14 for Android 1591·2 months agothey are already actively working with e/OS and iodéOS. Don’t know if e/OS already supports Android 15 like iodé does, but they could just focus on that next release…
BentiGorlich@gehirneimer.deto Android@lemdro.id•Fairphone releases open letter to the Community - Apologizes for 3 month support time and says the FP4 will skip Android 14 for Android 1571·2 months agoI own a FP4 and I’ve been on Android 15 for a while now, as I run iodéOS … To me it is astonishing how a thrid party OS can have better support than the first party one 😅
BentiGorlich@gehirneimer.deOPtoSavage Worlds@ttrpg.network•Opinions about the cyber gear "scanner"2·2 months agoOk, that would indeed make it more balanced than what I thought 🤔
BentiGorlich@gehirneimer.deOPtoSavage Worlds@ttrpg.network•Opinions about the cyber gear "scanner"2·2 months agoYou mean that it does not just “run in the background”? So you have to actively use the scanner for it work?

After thinking about it I think this has actually nothing to do with Firefox (yet), but with the ad platform they bought. Might absolutely end up in Firefox in some way, but this blog post is not about that…
Why do they continue to want to shove ads down their users throat? I use FF so uBlock Origin works and can block everything that annoys me…
BentiGorlich@gehirneimer.detoBudgetAudiophile@lemmy.world•Is channel imbalance just a thing one has to live with?1·3 months agoI honestly did not notice it with mine yet, but no guarantee that it is not there. IEMs I own: 7hz Timeless, Rinko, Project: Red, Xenns Top
Well it is just the ap id. If you put it in the search your instance should fetch the post. My instance is configured this way, that has nothing to do with mbin as a whole. And yes it is annoying, but it also saves a lot of money as all the AI scraper shit gets blocked this way. I will try to implement anubis, but have not haxld time yet to try it out
