You know that a Republican inin Texas being impeached by his fellow republicans in the Texas House is saying a LOT about how horrible he is.
They were fine with all of his behavior until he signed a settled that agreed to get the state to pay a 3.3M settlement. It needed approval, they denied it and then empeached him. He would of got away with all this bullshit if he didn’t try to slide the bill across the table for the party to pay for it.
Or he’s the scapegoat.
Yeah, the GOP in Texas is absolutely going to use this as an example of how righteous and lawful they are - completely ignoring the fact that they campaigned with him and donated to him after he had been indicted for a felony.
Wonder if this is gonna go down like R.Budd Dwyer did?
I’d be extremely wary of him suddenly calling a press conference and showing up with a heavy ass paper bag or envelope.
