Drop the pasta, start the playlist, when the music is over, you’ve got perfectly cooked pasta

So that must be what Spotify’s doing with all the data they’re collecting.

Well the Spotify ToS says clearly that they need to indefinitely store the photos you send to your lover so they can determine your altitude for when you cook pasta.

Also how much salt you have added, the size of the pot and water volume (maintaining a boil), whether the lid is on/off/partly covering the pot, energy output of the heat source…? And to be perfectly honest i like my pasta slightly past ‘al dente’, especially when cooking dry pasta.

In the past I really struggled cooking pasta in the times shown on the packets on my home sovetop, but then learned to properly use the lid of my pots. I fully cover the pot with the lid to bring to the boil, add the pasta and leave the lid partially over the pot (~70% covered) to maintain a ‘rolling boil’, and now it cooks more consistently and quicker.

You don’t need to listen to ads. Spotube or XManager for Android based devices, or just listen in a Firefox based browser with reasonable ad blocking from your PC or laptop. I don’t have premium, but I never hear ads.

How are you cooking your pasta? It should be:

      1. Wait until water boils
      2. Drop in pasta
      3. Wait until water boils again, then start the timer

The cook time varies a lot based on how dry the pasta is, which depends on how old they are, how they’ve been stored, and the air humidity where they’re stored. It can vary as much as ±5min. Even on a conventional stovetop, it takes about 30s at most to come back to a boil after you drop in the pasta.

The best way to get perfectly cooked pasta is to regularly check on them.

For the love of god, use the crosspost feature. Posting this to multiple communities just clogs up people’s feed.

No. For the love of god, open a bug report to your devs. Multiple posts to the same link shouldn’t clog anything if your frontend has a dedup feature.

Stop complaining and open a feature request.

      I did

In any case, I’m cross-posting content from .ml comms to the nearest non-.ml comm as part of ongoing boycotting efforts to reduce .ml’s influence to make defederation an easier decision for admins everywhere because of the .ml admins insistence to push their Tankie ideology through various means from censorship of views critical of Authoritarian regimes such as Russia or China to allowing propaganda outlets (such as RT) to flourish

So to that end, if you’d like a less clogged up feed, you can always Instance block .ml
