That suggestion seems to imply that they want to ban slavery, but want to hate anything with the word trans in it.

if they dislike anything with the word trans in it. So hating the slave trade, and hating trans people would go together not be oppositions.

Now if they like slave trade, but dislike trans, that creates the conflict.

Like Trump saying cutting 80 million funding for a transgender mouse at his congressional speech. What an idiot.
