I got this on the cheap back in 2020, before watching Build Divers. Was a fun little build, and the Core Gundam concept intrigued me. Wasn’t sold on having a bajillion option parts etc to buy. Picked up the weapon set later but never got around to building it.

Fast forward a few years and I have to hand it to Bandai. I’ve now got most of the Planet System sets and a bunch of Core Gundam variants, most picked up on discount. Budget became nonexistent around Plutine which is probably just as well since the reviews I’ve seen aren’t kind to it. Which is a shame because I’m a sucker for purple mechs.

The kit next to the (quebeley?) leg cracks me up.

Good job on the kit. Panel lining really makes suuuuuch a difference. Gotta ask tho, do you keep the little anti poke thing on the head ornament on purpose or just haven’t thought about removing it? For me it kills the look and I spend a little time trimming it off, it is sharp as all hell though when you do take the guards off.

      Thanks!

I entered the hobby in 2000 via the old Wing kits. For the longest time, I thought the little nubs were structural. Like, “we need this extra bit here to make sure the pointy part doesn’t break.” By the time I found out otherwise, I had basically stopped seeing them - they were just part of the kit’s imperfections. For a while after that I had kinda convinced myself that if I tried I was gonna screw it up. Eventually I did try it on a few kits and it was fine. But I still barely see them - old habits and all.
