I’ll go to heaven for this
Like Thompson’s salary, bonuses, stock dividends, and life insurance payout isn’t enough … :/
Right?! They don’t need a GoFundMe when just his salary is 3-5 times as much in a single year as I’ll make in my lifetime. And he’s been making that for years.
So they allow a fucking millionaire beg for money on there. But we cant support the hero who took the fucker out?
What makes you think this fundraiser was started by anyone having anything to do with Thompson or his family? When events like this happen, scammers come out of the woodwork and make fake fundraisers and then pocket the money. Happened during Black Lives Matter, too.
You’re right, anyone coule have started it but I don’t believe that’s his point. I think he’s talking about the fact that the fundraiser for a billionaire is allowed by the website while the one for the guy who allegedly took him out is not.
Ps: I’m not arguing for or against anything, just clarifying a detail about the comment you seem to have misunderstood.
It’d be awesome if we could donate negative amounts.
Literally my first thought.
His family doesn’t need or deserve support. This guy has life insurance. Maybe he didn’t have prior authorization to die, but I’m sure they’re posting it anyway and they will be supported in the way he intended.
Why should anyone give them money? They definitely got more than we do. They should be organizing a donation drive right now to give away the excess instead of taking any.
it’s less about deciding who does or doesn’t get money and more about sending a message to the billionaire class.
“If one of the proles shoots you, a billionaire CEO; the rest of the proles will chip in to try and help them get away with it”
you can come from a rich family and be class conscious
Oh of course. It was kinda a moot point to bring up.
people posting here can eventually hang out with him
I’m not sure why you’re getting downvoted, it’s just a joke about the community name. did noone here read it?
Personally I wouldn’t have seen it if not for your comment
Literally ALWAYS look at the community name when browsing “everything”.
Maybe it’s just not as prominent in the app I use? (Eternity)
When I used Boost for reddit, I remember always being aware what sub I was looking at…
I’ve just had a few incidents of looking dumb because I didn’t know about the community (and earlier on that other site) name or context. I’m just passing on advice I’ve learned the hard way myself, lol.
