People’s relationship with YouTube is weird. I guess cause it used to be free the expectation is that it should always be free but back in the day the content wasn’t worth paying for.
Well yes. They grew because they were free, and now they have altered the deal. And they will continue to alter the deal since they don’t have any competition and nobody can compete with free.
What people should do is recognize this as shitty behavior and stop using their service and stop supporting the Google network.
I don’t need YouTube in my life personally. If they weren’t there, I would be OK with it. Probably look at options and see what is possible to use instead. Pay for that service if it’s any good. Just like with email and search.
Well I paid for the ad free subscription but they sent an email that that doesn’t exist anymore and my subscription will cancel itself this month.
Guess it wasn’t profitable enough… And that stinky move is why I won’t pay anymore.
Honestly I don’t understand what’s wrong with the subscription model. You get YouTube ad free and YouTube music.
